Dr. Scott Koningswood PT, DPT

Dr. Scott, owner of Katalyst Performance and Rehab, is a Doctor of Physical Therapy specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and dysfunctions of athletes. Dr. Scott has worked with individuals in every level of sport, from youth to professional with great success in returning them to their respective sport. Utilizing sport-specific rehabilitation protocols and state-of-the-art technology, Dr. Scott is able to give athletes the most efficient path to a safe reintegration to high level athletic movement and force production.

Partnering with PS2 Athletics as the Director of Strength and Conditioning, Dr. Scott brings the best of two worlds together, performance and rehabilitation. This union allows him and the Katalyst Performance team to create programs that enhance strength, power, and explosiveness all the while reducing the risk of injury by keying in on imbalances that can lead to potential setbacks. Having successful careers in football, baseball, and hockey, Dr. Scott brings years of athletic experience coupled with over a decade of academic studies to elevate the PS2 Sports Performance program to new heights.

Brandon Wood

Coach Wood, founder and operator of Elevate Team Training brings over 14 years of performance training experience to PS2 Athletics. His roots stem from being a competitive high school athlete to a member of the nationally #12 ranked Rutgers Football program from 2002-2006. Brandon has trained athletes and teams of all ages and sports: from beginner to professional athletes or state and national champion teams. Brandon and the Elevate staff bring the same culture changing, detail focused training to get the most out of this athletes and teams physically while inspiring them to come together as one unit to accomplish their individual/team seasonal goals.

Matt Spector MS, CSCS

Coach Matt is a highly trained Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist that brings a well-balanced background in both functional movement and performance training. Having a master’s degree in Exercise Science allows Matt to systematically program progressive strength programs for athletes of all skill levels and experience. He is a former member of the Poly Prep Strength and Conditioning team where he gained vital experience working with their Varsity sports teams that propels him in successfully leading our small training group classes. Matt is a highly decorated and experienced powerlifter who actively competes around the tri-state area.

Chris Lopez MS, CSCS

Coach Chris, our data and analytical specialist, excels in collecting performance metrics to optimize athlete’s individual programs. As a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist as well as an accredited USA Weightlifting coach, Chris thrives in coaching highly technical Olympic lifting techniques to high school to professional level athletes in order to increase power and explosiveness. After serving our country as a member of the U.S. Army, Chris went on to obtain his master’s degree in Exercise Science and is currently working his way to become a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
